the indicated sign up time. Registration will close at the
audition's scheduled start time.
Audition: Each audition venue will have an available
karaoke music library, CD system and a live microphone.
Musical instruments may not be used. The karaoke music library
may be used at the audition, but will NOT be allowed or
available in the Semi-Finals or Finals. The winner from
each Pride Idol audition will become a contestant in the
Semi-Finals at PrideFest. Each audition is scheduled for

this loss of opportunity. Contestants who do not win an
audition, or do not get a chance to perform at an audition,
are welcome to register again at other scheduled auditions.

/ karaoke version without the lead vocals. It is encouraged
to be ready to sing at least two songs in case someone else
before you is singing the song you chose (however, if you'd
still like to sing that same song it is your choice). Contestants
may NOT use on-screen words / lyrics that would normally
accompany karaoke. No obscene lyrics and/or gestures from
the performers will be allowed.
Judging: Contestants will be judged based upon
a combination of factors, singing ability being the most
important. Showmanship, stage presence, style and appearance
will also have an impact. Each audition will have 3 qualified,
unbiased judges provided by PrideFest who will score each
contestant. All decisions of the judges are final regarding
how the winner is chosen. If after the audition has begun,
changes or updates to the rules are deemed necessary, an
announcement will be made. The decisions of the producers
of Pride Idol are final.
Semi-Finals: The Semi-Finals will be held at PrideFest
on Saturday June 7, at 4:00pm on the Rainbow Stage. The
Semi-Finals will determine who performs in the Finals. Each
Semi-Finalist will perform ONE SONG. The judges will determine
5 contestants who will advance to the Finals. Contestants
will need to have their music prepared and with them before
they arrive at the festival grounds that day, along with
a back-up copy.
