Is there a fee to sign up? No! Competing in a Pride Idol Audition is free.

When can I register for the Audition? You can pre-register at anytime with the venue's staff at any scheduled audition location. You can also pre-register online. And lastly, you can register on the day of Audition at the venue's designated sign up time.

Is there a minimum age to Audition? You must be 21+ for all of the pre-festival Auditions. The Wild Card audition at PrideFest on Friday June 6 is 18+.

How do I pick the song I want to perform? You can either pick a song from the venue's karaoke library or you can provide your own song on audio compact disc. Song performed must be instrumental / karaoke version without the lead vocals.

Is this just like karaoke? No. You will not be able to read the words on a screen. You must have the song completely memorized!

Can I audition as a duet or group? No. This is a solo performance competition.

Can I use an instrument? No.

Who judges the audition winner? PrideFest has 3 qualified, unbiased judges who will score each contestant. You will be scored based upon your singing ability, showmanship, song choice, and appearance.

If I don't win, can I try again at anotheraudition location? Yes!

What happens if I win the audition? You will compete in the Semi-Finals at PrideFest on Saturday June 7. If you are amongst the top 5 at the Semi-Finals, you will compete in the Finals on Sunday June 8.

What time commitments do I have to worry about if I win an audition? You must be in Milwaukee for the entire PrideFest weekend, Friday June 6 until Sunday June 8 for special appearances, promotions, and competing in the Semi-Finals and possibly Finals.

What prizes can I win? The winner of Pride Idol 2008 will receive a $500.00 cash prize and have the opportunity to open for PrideFest's Miller Lite Main Stage headliner on Sunday June 8. Prizes will also be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place winner.
