We are the nations largest LGBT+ festival with permanent festival grounds, operated entirely by volunteers since 1987. The festival does not have one paid employee, simply the dedication and devotion to bring together an exciting community experience each and every year.
PrideFest Milwaukee is produced by Milwaukee Pride, Inc, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, compliant with all State of Wisconsin and IRS rules.
The mission of Milwaukee Pride, Inc. is a) to educate both the general community and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities about needs, issues and various aspects of LGBT culture; b) to provide a forum to celebrate the history and accomplishments of LGBT people; c) to create an environment for networking and outreach for services and community opportunities for LGBT people and their families and friends; and d) any other activities exclusively for charitable, educational, and research purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
PrideFest is accomplished through the work of the Board of Directors, which oversees the festival year-round, and the Production Team, which develops and carries out the day-to-day planning of the festival.
