Friday, June 7: Adonis Timone

adonis_timone_pridefest_milwaukeeAdonis Timone makes his PrideFest debut Friday, June 7 at the Rainbow Stage.

Born in Milwaukee, Adonis Timone (a.k.a Cedric Lanier-Thornton) is an independent rap artist who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is.

His raw, uncut lyrics are controversial, but he refuses to fit within society’s so-called standards.  Adonis Timone has written rhymes for some big names in Milwaukee. After his sexuality was publicly exposed on Facebook to hateful responses, Timone decided to take a break to finish high school. In December 2017, he dropped a mixtape appropriately titled “Out The Closet,” since he produced and engineered it himself out of his closet, and it is the first time he rapped publicly about his lifestyle.

On January 6, 2019, Timone dropped a new EP, “Di’Vil Season.” He is the Haus Father of the Di’Vil family, which stands for “defining, individuality, values, independence, and loyalty.” These principles illustrate Timone’s motivation to defy standards and stay original.
