Saturday, June 9: DJ DRIPSweat

DJ DRIPSweat spins Saturday, June 9 at the PrideFest Milwaukee Dance Pavilion.

Veteran DJs have called DRiPSweat “the future of DJing.” As a multi-platform artist since childhood and a true student of music, she’s quickly become one of the Milwaukee music scene’s rising stars.

Known for her technical, genre-bending mixing and one-of-a-kind stage presence, DRiPSweat’s original style keeps crowds moving.

After honing her craft through the Scratch Sessions, DRiPSweat entered and placed in two competitions during her first year as a professional DJ. She was a semi-finalist at Vocalo Radio’s “Quest 4 The Best” DJ competition in Chicago and winner of Pridefest’s “Wom!nz Spot” DJ battle in Milwaukee.

She’s also the official DJ for emerging hip-hop artist, Taj Raiden, and has accompanied respected musicians like Zed Kenzo, Lex Allen, Joey Dadass, Queen Tut, Fivy, B-Free, Chakara Blu and Kaylee Crossfire.

DRiPSweat regularly hosts parties focusing on gender positivity and creating LGBTQIA safe spaces including “DTF: Un-cut and Thigh Dive.” She runs the “SAD:Parties,” an event series addressing the importance of mental and emotional health. She’s also the creator of the “Condensation Compilations” — a good-for-your-soul mixtape series.

Beyond her passion for DJing, DRiPSweat is a teaching artist, dancer, mentor, advocate, musician, producer, poet and entrepreneur. Her ultimate motivation is inspiring and aiding young, queer and femme creatives *especially POC* to achieve their dreams through the power of music. And the magic of…dripping sweat. #divein
