PrideFest joins Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce

chamberDid you know that the combined buying power of the United States LGBT community exceeds $830 billion per year?

Relationships matter.  The stronger our business relationships within the LGBT community, the louder our voice becomes — and the stronger our shared economic power.

Effective October 1, 2014, PrideFest Milwaukee is now a full member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, an organization of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and LGBT-allied businesses, professionals and individuals throughout Wisconsin.  The Chamber’s mission is to promote economic opportunities for the LGBT community and advocating for member businesses that promote equality — a mission that supports our own values of celebrating the diversity of local LGBT culture and community.

Since 2012, the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber has grown to over 200 members, hosted more than 30 events in eight Wisconsin communities, participated in two White House briefings and added over 100 corporate partners.  The organization has also received the 2014 National Rising Star Chamber Award from the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, of which Wisconsin is an affiliate member.

Check out the full member listing at the Chamber website.

The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce hosts regular monthly networking breakfasts and happy hours that are open to the public.  Please like and share the Chamber Facebook page — and watch for your next event invitation!
